Phoning this one in I'm afraid
I made these for a university project; basically I was telling an Indiana Jones like story about a guy who uses his cell phone (that was what the brochure was about) to do various interesting things. The "story" was designed to highlight the features of the phone, of course.
I never finished the thing, so here's just the illustrations. Cover:
Now the first thing you have to know about this fictional phone is that it is very secure. Bad Guy can't get to the information stored on it, so he's a bit miffed, to say the least!
Now, what he doesn't know is that the phone is incredibly sturdy, so Good Guy can knock him out with it, no problem.
Good Guy gets away, but is he going to get lost in a city he doesn't know? No, cause our awesome phone has a map service installed!
There's also an event calendar application, so he can easily find the venue where Love Interest is a singer, and *woosh* take her with him!
To get to the Remote Temple where Mysterious Icon is to be found, they need to charter a plane. They pay with the VISA-over-phone service integrated in the package. Smart, huh?
They parachute out of the plane as soon as they reach the right spot - easily found on the satellite map with location markers that is available on the phone.
Once they've landed, they really just gotta find the spot marked X. Helpful in this situation: the GPS and compass that are in the phone.
They find the Remote Temple, and while the brochure ends here, adventures at home continue with the gaming abilities the phone has.
The back of the brochure shows a coda: they've found Mysterious Icon, now Good Guy needs to do the switch thing. Only, as his sideways glance shows, he's suddenly not so sure any more that he wants the Icon more than he wants the phone. On message to the very end!
Can you imagine how thoroughly my mind was blown when a shortly after I made this, a cell phone GPS/map system called Wayfinder came on the market?
